How To Create The Custom Google Adsense Advertisement

Google Adsense is the “money making program” provide by Google, especially to the blogger who writing the blog using their platform, blogger.com. I think, most bloggers are very familiar with one of the Google Adsense program’s package, Google AdSense For Content. With this package installed on your blog template, you can generate some money when the visitors click the Adsense advertisement appears on it.

You can display the Google Adsense advertisement in the blog’s sidebar, in the sidebar and posts or below the posts. But based on my experience, displaying the Google Adsense advertisement in these places cannot generate much clicks from the blog’s visitors, so the earnings you will get every month also a little.

To get more clicks from your blog’s visitors it is ideal to embed the Google Adsense advertisement on the place where it easy to be seen by them. One of the ideal place on your blog is below the post title. To embed the Google Adsense advertisement below the post title, you must create the custom Google Adsense advertisement.

Today, I will like to show you how the create the custom Google Adsense advertisement and then embed its code below your blog’s post title.




What You Need

  1. You must have the Google account. Please click here to create one.

  2. You must sign up with Google Adsense. Please click here to sign up and follow the steps given.




The Procedures

  1. Click here to sign in to Google Adsense dashboard.

  2. Inside the dashboard, click tab My ads

  3. Now, at the left sidebar, click Content –> click Ad units –> click button Capture.

  4. Then, you will be re-directed to the ad unit configuration form like below

  5. Inside the ad unit configuration form, give the suitable name to you ad unit –> determine your ad size –> choose the ad type –> choose the option for backup ads.

    Note:
    The Backup ads selection has three options. If you only register your blog with Google Adsense as the online advertising program, you either can choose to show the blank space or fill space with a solid color.

    If you, at the same time register your blog with another online advertising program including Google Adsense, you can choose show other ads from another URL. If you choose this option, the ads from the another URL you targeted will be displayed when Google has no targeted ads to display on your blog.

  6. Now, you can setup the ad style that you want to display on your blog.

    If you want to use the design style provide by Google, you need to click button Capture. If you want to design your ads style you can click button Capture.

  7. After you finish setup the ads unit, click button Capture.

  8. Now, you will be provided with the ad code like below. Copy the code and paste it under your blog’s post title.

After The Procedures

In this section, I will show you how I embed my Google Adsense custom code into my blog template. As you can see I embed it under my post title. To embed the code under the post title, you should follow the following steps

  1. Sign in to blogger.com and you will be re-directed to the interface like below

  2. Click the drop-down menu –> click Template

  3. Click the button Edit HTML to launch the blogger HTML editor.

  4. Now, you will see the blogger HTML template editor like below.

  5. Based on above, tick the check box Expand Widget Templates –> click Capture to launch the Find toolbar. See below

  6. Inside the text box Find toolbar, write the code <data:post.body/> –> click Next to go directly to the code inside the blogger HTML template editor

  7. Now, copy the Google Adsense code below

  8. Before you paste the code into your blog template, you must encode this code first. Click here and you will see the webpage like below

    Paste the Google Adsense code you copied in step 7 into the text area above –> click button Convert Ad Code.

  9. Now you can paste the code you have encoded into your blog template. Paste it above the <data:post.body/> –> click the button Save template

How To Auto Launch The Application Program At Windows 7 Logon

Human sometimes suffer from problem of forget and it cannot be denied that the forgetful nature is one of the human’s weaknesses. This problem can give negative effect in human’s daily life especially when they are at work. The problems like forget to attend meeting, forget to prepare report asked by the boss, forget to shutdown the computer is normally happen in office environment.

This problem also happen to me always. My problem is, I always forget to open the enterprise email application provide by my organization every time I turn on my office's computer. Because of this problem, I always miss the important information such as invitation to attend the faculty meeting sent by my boss to me through his email.

To solve this problem, I decide to use the built-in application provide by Windows 7 Professional. It is the Windows Task Scheduler. Using this application, I want to let the Windows 7 OS system to open my enterprise email application automatically after I log onto Windows environment.

Today, I would like to show you how to setup the Windows Task Scheduler to open the application program (eg: enterprise email) automatically after log onto Windows environment.



The Procedures

  1. Click image start Vista --> click All Programs –-> click Accessories –-> click System Tools –-> click Task Scheduler

  2. When the Task Scheduler program launch, you will see the program interface below

  3. Based on above, click Capture Create Task… and you will see the Create Task box like below

  4. Click the tab General –-> write the appropriate task name –-> within the select box Configure for, choose Capture.

  5. Now, click the tab Triggers.

  6. Based on above, click the button Capture --> the New Trigger box will appears on your screen like below.

  7. Now, inside New Trigger box, choose the select box Begin the task as At log on –-> click radio button that represent Specific user and make sure your user account’s name appears –-> make sure the check box Enabled is ticked –-> click OK –-> you will see the trigger list appears in the Create Task box. See below

  8. Now, click the tab Actions.

  9. Based on above, click the button Capture --> the New Action box will appears on your screen like below.

  10. Inside select box Action, choose Capture --> now, under Settings, click the button Capture --> the Open box like below will appears.

    Navigate to the program path which you want it launch automatically at Windows log on, eg: notes.exe and then click the button Capture.


  11. Now, you will see the program path you had choose appears inside the input box that represent Program/script. See below.

  12. Click OK and you will the action list appears in the Create Task box like below.

  13. Now, click the tab Settings –-> make sure the check box Stop the task if it runs longer than is ticked and the select box value at the right side of it is adjusted to 12 hours –-> click OK.

  14. Now you have finished creating the task.



After The Procedures

Restart your computer and wait until the computer finish the boot process. When you log onto the Windows environment, you will see the interface of application program which you have set to automatically launch at Windows logon appears on your computer’s screen. In this case, the Lotus Notes email application program interface’s will appears. See below

How To Encrypt System Disk Partition Using TrueCrypt

Every computer must have the secondary memory. The other name of secondary memory is the hard disk drive. Its function is to permanently keep the important data such as file system data. The health of file system data is very important for the operating system to run smoothly inside the computer.

If these data getting corrupted, the computer’s users may encounter the problems on their operating system. But, sometimes these problems happen because of the users attitude who use the computer.

Some computer’s owners will try to protect or maintain their operating system with various maintenance and security tools such as check disk program and antivirus program. But, there are one radical step that the owners can do to protect their operating system. It is encryption technique.

Again, you can use the TrueCrypt program to protect your operating system from the malicious users who have an intention to make the illegal access into it. You can protect it by encrypt your system disk partition.

In this article, I will show you how to encrypt the system disk partition inside your computer.



What You Need

  1. Blank CD/DVD RW. This CD/DVD RW will be used to burn the TrueCrypt Rescue Disk image file inside it. The file come in form of .iso file.




Before The Procedures

  1. Download the TrueCrypt program from here.


  2. You must install the TrueCrypt program into the computer which you want to encrypt its system disk partition.




The Procedures

  1. Right click your mouse on the TrueCrypt icon and click Open to launch the TrueCrypt program installed in your computer

  2. When you see the program interface below, click button Capture

  3. The TrueCrypt Volume Creation Wizard box will appear on your computer screen. See below.

  4. Based on above, click the radio button Encrypt the system partition or entire system drive ––> click Next.

     
  5. Now, you can choose the type of system encryption you like. If you only want to encrypt your system disk partition, you can click the radio button Normal –-> click Next.

  6. At this stage, you can decide the disk partition you want to encrypt. In this procedures, I choose to encrypt the whole drive because my computer hard disk only has single partition.

    To encrypt the whole disk drive, you must click the radio button Encrypt the whole drive –-> click Next


  7. Then, the TrueCrypt program will asked you to encrypt the Host Protected Area (HPA) reside in your hard disk drive.

    Please read the warning statement provided before you decide to encrypt the Host Protected Area (HPA) of your hard disk. If you are not sure, just click the radio button No –-> click Next


  8. At this stage, you have to choose the number of operating system installed in your computer. If only single operating system installed, then you can click radio button Single-boot –-> click Next.

  9. Choose AES as the encryption options –-> click Next

  10. Create the strong access password –-> click Next. You will use this password to access the encrypted system disk partition.

  11. Now, move your mouse cursor as randomly as possible under the area named Current pool content (partial). The longer time you move, the better cryptographic strength of encryption keys will be produced –-> click Next

  12. Now, you can see the partial of encryption keys you generated at the previous step (step 11). Click Next.

  13. At this step, you will create the TrueCrypt Rescue Disk image file (.iso file). As the default, the ISO image file will be saved in My Documents folder. Just click Next to start creating the image file (.iso file).

  14. When you see the alert box below, insert the blank CD/DVD RW into CD/DVD drive bay –-> click OK.

  15. Tick the check box Verify disc after burning –-> click the button Burn when you see the Windows Disc Image Burner’s box like below –-> please wait while the burning process running

  16. Click the button Close when the burning process complete.

    Note:
    If you use the notebook to burn the ISO image, please close the CD/DVD drive bay before you click the button Close.


  17. After you click the button Close, you will see TrueCrypt Volume Creation Wizard box again –-> click Next to verify the TrueCrypt Rescue Disk.iso is correctly burned.

  18. Remove the CD/DVD RW from the CD\DVD drive bay –-> click Next.

  19. Now, you will be asked to choose the wipe mode. This process is to avoid your adversary to recover the data you intend encrypt. For the fastest wiping process, you can choose None (fastest) from the select box –-> click Next. See below.

  20. Now, this is the time to apply the encryption technique into your system disk partition. Refer to the wizard box below, click the button Test.

  21. Now, the important notes like below will appears on your screen. I personally recommend you to print or copy its contents into the notepad. After you finish print or copy the contents, click button OK.

  22. When the confirm box below appears, click button Yes –-> your computer will be restarted.

    Note:
    During the boot process, the TrueCrypt Boot Loader screen will appears. Insert the access password you created at step 10 and press Enter. Then the computer will boot and loading into Windows as usual.

  23. After the Windows OS finish loading, the TrueCrypt Volume Creation Wizard box will appears like below. Click the button Encrypt

  24. Again, the TrueCrypt notes will appears on your screen. You are recommended to copy its contents into notepad. Then, click the button OK.

  25. The system disk partition’s encryption process will start –-> please wait.

After The Procedures

The system disk partition’s encryption process need a long time to accomplish. If you think you want to postpone the process and continue it anytime, you can click the button Defer.

Click button Yes when the confirm box like below appears.

Then you can shutdown your computer. When the next time your start the computer and log onto Windows environment, the confirm box like below appears on your screen.

Click Yes if you want to resume the system disk partition’s encryption process. Otherwise you can click No.
