There are many advantages of the PDF document. As far as I know, you can view the PDF document for free by downloading the PDF reader software like Adobe Reader, you can view the PDF document in all platform no matter either you are using Windows OS or MAC OS and you can set the security level of your PDF document, for example, you can restrict the readers from copying or printing the content of your PDF file.

But, in my opinion a drawback that the PDF document has, is you cannot directly edit its content from the document itself. You need to convert it into the type of document which more editable, for example is Microsoft Word document. So, in my article today I will like to show you how to convert the PDF document into Microsoft Word document using online service.

There are many converter-based sites that can help you convert the PDF document online, but from my point of view the site pdfonline.com can convert your PDF document quite well into Microsoft Word document. What I mean with quite well is the Microsoft Word document produced by the site is quite easy for you to edit.




The Procedures

  2. You will be presented the user interface below

A PDF file, short form for the Portable Document Format file is a type of file which is free from any compatibility problem of computer hardware and operating system. The PDF file can be viewed in any type of operating system that use any type of computer hardware. What the computer users need to do is to install the Adobe Reader, the freeware developed by Adobe System Incorporated in order to view the contents of PDF file.

But, from my observation, the major downside of PDF file is the users always need to wait for a quite long time to allow a printer to print the PDF file completely.

For me, in order to solve this problem, I initially will convert PDF file to become the JPEG file and then print it out. With this method, the time required to print the file can be lowered slightly.

In this article, I will show you how to convert PDF file to JPEG file using FM PDF To JPEG Converter. It is a freeware program that has an ability to convert more than single PDF file at a time.

Note:
If you do not want to install any software to convert the PDF file, you can use the online service to run the process. But using the online service will require you to have the Internet connection and you only can convert ONE PDF file at a time.



How To Use

At this stage, I assume that you have downloaded the FM PDF To JPEG Converter from the link I provided above. In order to convert PDF file to JPEG file using this freeware, you must follow the steps below

  1. Install the freeware into your computer system. During setup process, the installer will prompt you to install the GPL Ghostscript if it cannot be found in your computer system.

    Click Capture to download and install the GPL Ghostscript and proceed the installation process to the finish line.


  2. Click Capture to launch the freeware program.

  3. At this step, you will be presented with the interface of freeware program like below

  4. To convert PDF file, click Capture --> the box Add local PDF(s) like below will be displayed on your computer screen

    Click the PDF file you want to convert –-> click Capture. Repeat the step 4 if you want to convert more than one PDF file.


  5. Click Capture when you finish add the PDF files you want to convert –-> the FM PDF To JPEG Converter will start convert the PDF files.

    By default, the JPEG files that had been produced from the conversion process will be saved into the source folder where the PDF files (that the users added in step 4) are come.

My today's article is the continuation to yesterday's article. As you know, we can remove the watermark printed on the PDF sheets using the software such as Adobe Photoshop or GIMP. But, if you use GIMP, you have to save the PDF sheets (which you have remove its watermark) in form of JPEG file.

In my observation, the contents of PDF file is look better than JPEG. So, I want to re-convert the JPEG file produced by the GIMP software into PDF format.


What You Need

  1. You must has zip program such as WinRAR. Click here to download.

  2. JPEGtoPDF program. Download here. In case you got the broken link, click here.


Before The Procedures

  1. Install the zip program into your computer. This is an optional step and you do not need to follow if your computer already have the zip program inside.  

  2. Extract the JPEGtoPDF program.



The Procedures

  1. Double click the JPEGtoPDF program. Then, you will see the interface below.

  2. To start convert the JPEG file to PDF format, click button Add Files to add the JPEG file.

  3. The Output Path is the location where the JPEG file you convert to PDF file will be saved.

  4. You can set the suitable name for the PDF file in the text box belong to Single PDF File named.

  5. Finally, click button Save PDF. The JPEG file will be convert and saved in form of PDF file.

Yesterday, I had posted the guide to the job seeker how to fill the job application form (in PDF format) using online form filler. If you carefully follow what I wrote, you may find it is easy to use it.

Anyhow, there is a lack on your form after you finish fill it. It is the watermark, printed by the form filler on the top side of your job application form. See below.

If you want to remove this watermark, you can try the suggested steps below.


  1. Install GIMP –-> launch it after installation.

  2. Click File –-> click Open… –-> click the PDF file listed on Buka Imej’s box  –-> click button Open

  3. Now, you will see the box named Import from PDF like below. Click to highlight one of the PDF sheets listed –-> click button Import.

  4. When you see the interface below, click eraser within the toolbox –-> make sure you choose circle for the type of brush –-> erase the watermark using the eraser.

  5. After finish erasing, save the PDF sheets by click File –-> click Save. Then you will see the Simpan Imej’s box below.

  6. Click Select File Type –-> under Select File Type, click JPEG Image –-> make sure the folder location where do you want to save the sheets –-> click button Save –-> click button Save.

  7. The PDF sheet (without watermark) will be reproduced in form of JPEG file.

How To Use

Now, we will learn how to fill the online job application form (in PDF format) using the Capture online service. Before you follow the instruction below, it is recommended to download the form from employer’s website to your PC

  1. Sign in to your account –-> when the picture below appears, click the radio button From PC –-> click button Choose File –-> click button UPLOAD

How To Compress JPEG Files Using MS Office Picture Manager

Actually I got this problem while I filled the online job’s form in JobsMalaysia.

Based on the picture above, the maximum size of certificate (in form of JPEG file) that I can upload into my job’s form is only 200KB. It give me a little problem when I have the JPEG file with more than 200KB in size. Just to let you know, my JPEG file actually come from PDF file format. Tonight I will show you how I compress it using Microsoft Office Picture Manager.


Before The Procedures

The Procedures

  1. Right click the JPEG file like below –-> highlight Open With –-> click to launch the Microsoft Office Picture Manager

  2. After launch, you will see the program’s menu below

  3. Click Edit Pictures… –-> a sidebar below will appear at the right side of the program’s interface

  4. Click Compress Pictures and you will get the another sidebar at the same place. See the picture below.

  5. Click radio button Web pages –-> click OK.

  6. Now, you will save the file. To ease you to find the location of the saved file, you can click File –-> click Save As…

  7. The Save As box will be displayed on your screen. Give the suitable name to the compressed file. Then choose the location which you think it is easy for you to find the file, eg: Desktop

Tonight, I am willing to share with you the online services that you can use to convert your PDF file to become the JPEG file or other formats. There are Neevia Technology and Zamzar. Now let we see both of them.


Neevia Technology
With Neviaa Technology you can convert PDF files with the size 1 MB or below to become JPEG or other files format. It will show you the error message below if you try to convert PDF files that bigger than 1 MB. But, it can convert the files quite quickly.

  2. Set your output format to JPEG
  3. Click Browse button to select your PDF file
  4. Choose delivery method you prefer. If you choose deliver by email, don’t forget to type your email address in the text box Email address:

Zamzar
Zamzar has slightly advantage compared with Neevia Technology. It can convert the PDF files that more than 1 MB in size. But, you only can receive the output format (JPEG file) through email. One more thing is the bigger the PDF file it convert the more time it need to accomplish its job.

How To Use
  1. Click here to access Zamzar website like below.

  • Choose JPG as the format to convert
  • Enter your email address
  • Click button Convert
  • Wait email notification from Zamzar.
